Rebranding with a twist

The LIFEBLOOD Charity was one of the UK's largest thrombosis charities. Its mission is to promote awareness about thrombosis and to increase understanding of its causes, effects and the treatments available.

As part of an on-going re-brand initiative, Lifeblood, the Thrombosis Charity will be renaming to 'Thrombosis UK'.

Kennedy Digital were engaged to create a new, modern aesthetic to support Thrombosis UK's mission and to create brand recognition.

Our aim was to create a simple, easily recognisable logo with a colour palette that reflects associated elements such as red blood cells and blue oxygenated blood flow and or veins.

Working closely with the Thrombosis UK, we outlined our concept for the brand, selecting color, typography and imagery that communicate the clients mission and future vision.

Defining a new color palette with a clear rationale allowed broad support to Thrombosis UK's messages and initiatives.

Distinct and defined enough to ensure valuable consistency across all digital experiences, our delivered designs communicated Thrombosis UK's brand values to the range of audience groups that align to the 3 key mission statements of Awareness, Research and Care.

Building a visual identity

Our criteria for the new corporate identity needed to ensure the ability to create a 'family / suite' of logo's, allowing diversification and sub-branding, whilst retaining commonality and core values. This would be particularly useful for the current Buddy System, Lets Talk Clots, National Thrombosis Week and the advertising campaign - Step Up To Stop Clots.
